Recently, scientists at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute(IARI) have forecasted the impact of the hot weather on crop yield in the states of Haryana and Punjab.
InfoCrop was one such forecast tool used in the forecast.
It is India's only dynamic crop simulation model which was developed and released by IARI in 2015.
It is a process based dynamic simulation model which can calculate the growth of yield of 11 crops.
